The new Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor gives you twice the resolution compared to the sensor used in a 1080p FullHD camera models. An additional 2 million pixel allow you to see even distant objects in full detail.
Comforting Sense of Security
Avoid false alarms by linking software-based motion detection with the integrated body heat sensor (Passive Infrared, PIR). This way, you only receive alerts when something has actually happened.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a method of transmitting data and power over a single network cable. The requirement for this is a PoE-enabled switch or injector with which the network cable is connected. When you then connect the other end to a PoE-enabled device, in this case the INSTAR camera, the camera is powered and simultaneously transmits data over the network cable.

Easy to Install
Your personal and free P2P ID allows you access your camera over the internet without any additional configuration. You can add your camera to our free InstarVision app by scanning the QR code inside the camera webUI or a sticker on your camera. The access is always secured by your personal administrator login and only accessible to you.

Alarm Notification
The push alarm notification sends a text message to your phone when an alarm was triggered. The message can automatically open your camera's live video. Additionally, you can receive an e-mail notification with up to 8 alarm snapshots.

Your camera can store alarm recordings on the internal SD card, upload them to a private FTP(S) or SFTP server, or transfer them to the optional INSTAR Cloud to keep the files secure. Each alarm event can trigger a short alarm recording that will be automatically uploaded to your INSTAR Cloud account – safe, on German servers, and accessible only to you!

- What are the installation requirements? aa

Everything you need to install the camera and add it to your local network is included in the package. Simply connect the camera to your router via LAN cable or Wi-Fi. Once the connection is established, you can use your smartphone or computer to configure your camera according to your needs. All INSTAR cameras can be used within your network without an internet connection. Only if you access the camera from outside your network, you will need a router with internet connection - no additional mandatory fees or subscriptions are required for using INSTAR cameras.
- Do I need a plugin (e.g., Flash) to view the camera's video stream? aa

No, all INSTAR 2K+ models offer the option to view the live video as an HTML5 video stream. You do not need any additional browser plugin to view the video. The HTML5 video can also be transmitted encrypted via HTTPS including audio. Alternatively, the video can also be captured via MJPEG or JPEG stream.
- Are there any additional costs after purchasing the camera? aa

INSTAR cameras do not have a mandatory subscription service that would incur additional costs. However, INSTAR offers optional PC software (InstarVision 2 for Windows and MacOS) and cloud storage plans (INSTAR Cloud) for expansion needs.
