Maneuvering Troubled Waters
A small creek in Columbia, Tennessee flooded due to heavy spring rains. Not long after, a store located right beside the creek found itself the recipient of some unwanted water intrusion. Staff opened the doors only to find the entire 30,000 sq. ft. building was flooded, throughout.
It just took one call to InStar to get the store back up and running − in less than a week! After mobilizing and securing the area, the team set out to extract every drop of water with truck-mounted water extractors.
Equipment included a 5,000 cfm desiccant, a 300KW generator, 30 air movers, 12 portable dehumidifiers, and even a floor stripper. Once completely dry, damaged drywall was repaired, and the space was completely cleaned and painted. And this popular local retailer was back in business in no time flat.
