Plastics Fire Recovery

A fire broke out in the office of a plastics company located in North Kansas City, Missouri. Smoke and soot contamination spread throughout the entire building, including the production area affecting a wide variety of machinery and electronics.

As a result, all of the equipment on site displayed signs of rusting from the soot contamination. That’s when InStar stepped in. Deep expertise in fire chemistry allowed our team to mobilize and perform emergency corrosion control to help maintain the equipment, until a thorough decontamination could be completed.

Once the machinery was stabilized, our Electronics and Machinery Technicians performed all of the decontamination necessary to the equipment and electronics. And in just over a week, the company was back in business.
